Nora has just given birth to her
baby, Mona. She is a bouncing baby girl. Every afternoon, Nora would play
peak-a-boo with her and she always gives her mother a tickling laugh. Little by
little, Mona learned how to clap, close and open her hands and sway goodbye to
her father.
One day, Nora is surprised to see
Mona, crawling on to the Teddy Bear, reaching her hands to get the stuffed
animal. “Oh my! She can now crawl!” Nora exclaimed. Before, Nora reads to her
using the Teddy Bear as a puppet but when she keeps it, Mona will not search
for the stuffed animal. But now its different. Every time Nora reads to her
using the Teddy Bear, Mona would stretch her arms and fingers just to get the
stuffed animal from her mother. “Mona would just love to grab the Teddy Bear
from me. She would cry if I would keep it far from her. She always searches for
it. She hugs it… then sometimes she throws it, but most often, she puts its
left foot in her mouth.” Nora commented.
“Mona knows how to identify people and
other objects in her surroundings. She just points it.” Mori said. “…if we
asked her, where is your brother? She would point her fingers to him”
“Mona is now becoming more aware of
her surroundings. It brought us closer to us. It’s such a joy to have a baby
like her.” Nora ended.
